Welcome to Beloved Wellness Center

A space for Black women and girls to feel seen, supported and safe.

Mental health therapy for Black women and girls in Wisconsin.

Before diving into question and answers, the following are questions we ask Black women and girls to see if they may be in the right place.

Do feel like you have to be strong... all... the... time? Do you put everyone else before you resulting in regrets? Do you have that internal voice getting on your last nerve because it's mean and judgmental?

Do you find yourself screaming "yassss" at the TV because the hard parts of an actresses' life mirrors your own, but you couldn't put them into words? Are you interested in identifying solutions to your stressors rather than talking in circles?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you're in the right place!

What therapy services do you offer?

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is provided to clients on a one-on-one basis with a therapist while working together to solve the client's concerns.

Family Therapy

Family therapy focuses on the family as a unit and you define who makes up your family. Treatment concerns are different for each family based on culture, unique differences, and stage of treatment. Each family member is encouraged to work on themselves and together to better understand how to strengthen the family unit as a whole. Family therapy can teach skills and break down barriers to deepening the family connection even after attending sessions. The identified client must be between ages 13 to 50.

Group Therapy

Group therapy typically involves 5 to 10 clients at a set timeframe. The meeting time is determined by the facilitator and will vary based on the group factors. Some people attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only. Many groups are designed to target a specific problem such as depression, anxiety, trauma, social skills, etc. Also, groups may be exclusive towards a specific group due to their unique and shared experiences which is called an infinity group. Benefits of group therapy include a support network, diversity, accountability, and different perspectives around your treatment concerns.
